The Accused "Shirley Temple's Dead, The Hurdis Road Tapes 1979" - 6 €

Just at the point of changing the bands name from The Victims to The Accused, Paul Panic and Martin Hopeless recorded these demo's in Martin's parent's from room, in Shirley, Solihull, as a complete run through of all the songs we had written to date. This was January 1979, six months before the release of the Mell Square Musick E.P.

Featuring just guitar and vocals, because we still hadn't got a permanent bass player or drummer, the recordings capture The Accused in a very early incarnation of naive punk rock.

The original cassette was lovingly restore by Chuck Warner of Messthetics fame.

The Accused - From the home of the Shirley Temple" John Peel - quote from his show broadcast 12/09/1979.
